It’s hard to believe it, but my Modern Scandinavian Baking cookbook is now a year old! My debut cookbook was released on April 14, 2020, just weeks into the pandemic lockdowns.
I wrote Modern Scandinavian Baking (afflink) for you, as a way to help you share the warmth and hospitality of Scandinavian baking culture with the people in your life. As it turns out, we all needed a little extra hygge this past year as we quarantined, sheltered in place, or social-distanced.
The 60+ recipes in the book reflect the essence of Scandinavian baking–all the love, hospitality, and warmth that I so associate with my heritage. You’ll find dozens of traditional Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish cakes, cookies, pastries, and breads, along with some playful interpretations of classics. I also included some beloved heirloom recipes from my own Norwegian family and my husband’s Swedish family.
It’s my hope that this book has helped you to share the warmth of Scandinavian hospitality with those you love, whether you’ve been able to gather or not.
